TiddlyWiki是个非常小巧酷炫的wiki引擎，全部程序只是一个一百多K的HTML页面。TiddlyWiki用CSS+HTML+javascript写成，可以在多种浏览器上浏览，而对于使用来说只可以在本地机器上使用，而且只可以Firefox和IE6.0以上的版本搭配WIN_XP_SP_TW的系统上使用。

TiddlyWiki页面所有元素都能都订制,能方便地修改页面结构和CSS表现形式.它不需要任何服务器端的脚本支持,你要你的电脑有有浏览器就能运行.非常适合放在U盘里到处带着走的个人做记事本。

TiddlyWiki无法真正将数据存储到服务器上，因而不能用来进行团体协作。

PerlTiddlyWiki is an adaptation of TiddlyWiki which uses Perl and MySQL as its backend. There are similar ones PhpTiddlyWiki using PHP/MySQL, and T's Wiki using Tcl/SQLite3.

PhpTiddlyWiki is a brand new kind of Wiki. It combines the awesome front-end of TiddlyWiki with a PHP/MySQL backend.

QwikiWeb is an "adaptation" of TiddlyWiki, meaning that an entirely new code set was required in order to change the way TiddlyWiki worked. Beginning with TiddlyWiki version 1.2.23, developers can change the way TiddlyWiki works without the need for changing the entire code set. Instead, plug-ins can achieve essentially the same result without the need for a full-blown adaptation.
